Aims of the Course: To introduce the reader to the space of complex-valued functions, present the Cauchy theory on the analytic functions as well as to show the use of residuum in the computation of integrals of real valued functions.
Syllabus: The complex plane. Elementary complex functions. Derivative and integral.
Cauchy-Riemann conditions. Winding index. Cauchy Theorems on holomorphic functions. Analytic functions. Taylor and Laurent series. Residuum and its applications.
